Synthesis, characterization and antimicrobial study of cinnamic acid functionalized Ag nanoparticles

چکیده

In order to improve the antimicrobial activity of Ag nanomaterial and minimum their toxicity, cinnamic acid has been utilized as both reducing agent protecting ligand synthesis silver (Ag) nanoparticles (NPs). The synthesized (CA) functionalized (CA-AgNPs) have characterized by Ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry (UV), Fourier transform infrared absorption spectra (FTIR), Atomic force microscope (AFM), Transmission electron (TEM). UV results indicated that a strong band peaked at 452 nm which can be ascribed surface plasmon resonance (SPR) AgNPs. FTIR CA-AgNPs was indeed bound on TEM measurements products are round spherical NPs with average particle size 52.8 nm. Antimicrobial tests revealed significant inhibitory effects E. coli C. albicans. prepared in this study expected developed efficient agents.

Synthesis and characterization of poly(3-hexylthiophene)-functionalized siloxane nanoparticles.

Poly(3-hexylthiophene)-functionalized siloxane nanoparticles were prepared by a modified Stöber method. The photovoltaic performance of P3HT-nanohybrids with C60 derivative PCBM was evaluated. The device made from 1 : 1 blends of P3HT-NPs:PCBM showed reasonably good photovoltaic performance with a power conversion efficiency of 2.5% under standard test conditions (AM 1.5G, 100 mW cm(-2)).
